In a new twist on the classic tale by E. T. A. Hoffman, this original work by Village Players member Frederic Tacon centers around Clara, the spoiled daughter of a wealthy doctor, and the unique gift she receives on Christmas Eve. After insisting on an extra present, Clara receives a Nutcracker doll and is sent on a journey to a kingdom where toys and sweets come to life. Can she learn a lesson in time to save the kingdom? Each performance will feature a pre-show kid’s concert by Ft. Thomas singer/songwriter Bill Smith.
